Keynote speaker and event host for the professional beauty industry

Talks your therapists, managers, and owners will still be using on Monday.

I speak to the people who do the actual work in this industry about personal brand, visibility, and becoming the obvious choice, drawing on close to twenty years in hair and beauty and on Inside Industry's own research with salon owners.

Introducing Tamara

I've stood where your audience stands, which is why they listen.

I'm a qualified beauty therapist with an advanced skin background, and I've spent close to twenty years in the hair and beauty industry across education, sales, brand marketing, and partnerships, working with everyone from emerging start-ups to ASX-listed companies.

So when I'm in front of a room of therapists and owners, I'm not translating consumer marketing advice into salon language. I'm talking about the things I see them wrestle with every week, like being brilliant at the work and still not getting booked, wanting to be known while dreading the camera, and running a business where every touchpoint is saying something about them whether they planned it or not.

Every talk is built on Inside Industry's own surveys and reports, which means the numbers on the screen come from our industry rather than from a generic marketing textbook.

Keynote topics

Four talks, built for the treatment room, the front desk, and the business.

Every session is interactive and evidence-based, and each one is designed so people leave with something they can put to work before their next client walks in.

01

The A-List: why some people get picked first

For therapists, educators, and owners who want to be known beyond their own four walls

Every industry has the names that get asked first, onto the stage, into the education contract, or into the ambassadorship, and it's almost never because they're the most talented person in the room. This talk walks through the A-List, my five-part framework covering awareness, attention, association, audience, and ask, and shows your audience which of the five is holding them back and what to do about it this month.

02

Everything is brand

For salon and clinic owners, managers, and their teams

Most people think their brand is their logo and their Instagram, and then wonder why clients who love their feed still don't rebook. This talk takes the room through every moment a client experiences a business, from the first DM and the welcome email to how a complaint gets handled, so each person on the team can see the moments they own and how to make them feel unmistakably like the business they work for.

03

Book yourself in: showing up online when you'd rather not

For therapists and teams who know they should be posting and freeze when the camera comes out

For a lot of talented people the honest problem isn't strategy, it's that the second a camera comes up they freeze, or they don't know what on earth they'd say, or they've decided somewhere along the way that they're not the kind of person who does this. This is a pretty practical way through that, covering how to build the habit before the fear, what to post when you don't want to be an influencer, and how to turn the work you're already doing into content that fills the book.

04

Known for something: positioning and pricing like a specialist

For salon and clinic owners and senior therapists

A specialist names a number and a generalist negotiates one, and a lot of businesses in our industry are being read as generalists because they've never given anyone a reason to file them anywhere more specific. Drawing on Inside Industry's research with salon owners, this talk helps owners and senior therapists choose what they want to be known for, say it in a way clients and the industry can repeat, and back it with pricing that reflects it.

Need something shaped around your education day, your conference theme, or your team? I build custom sessions too, so tell me who's in the room and what you'd love them to leave with.

MC and event host

A host who knows the industry as well as your audience does.

Whether it's an education day, an awards night, or a conference with a full speaker line-up, I bring polish to the transitions and warmth to the room. Because I know the terminology, the ingredients, the devices, and the brands, I can introduce your speakers properly, talk through a demonstration with real product fluency, and keep the schedule on track without anyone feeling rushed.
